Caritas - Diffa - Niger

Mahamadou Kiari with wife Adama and children in a camp of internally displaced people by the side of the road on the highway outside of Diffa, Niger on February 14, 2016. Caritas undertook a distribution of two blankets per family in January, 2016. Most of the displaced people are from the town of Chilori, Niger on the border with Nigeria and fled when the village was attacked by Boko Haram.

Mahamadou - 'Boko Haram stole all my crops for the season after we fled the village. We have been here for about 3 months now and came from a village in Niger at the border.'
