Zanabou Mataram with her children Bulama and Bintou at a camp of internally displaced people near the village of Kouble by the side of the road on the highway outside of Diffa, Niger on February 17, 2016. The camp is made up of displaced people and refugees from villages along the border between Niger and Nigeria and who fled attacks from Boko Haram.

'Boko Haram killed 15 people in the village. They were shooting everywhere, they came in the middle of the night and we ran into the bush. The military came and told us to stay in the village but everyone was too scared so we came here.'
