Fleeing Boko Haram

A man scratches paint from the wall of a petrol station next to the Komadougou river in Diffa, Niger on February 17, 2016. The river marks the border between Niger and Nigeria. With the army of Nigeria abandoning this northern border, Boko Haram launch attacks on civilians and the military by crossing the river and then retreating back into the territory it controls in Nigeria.
