HIV Project Conakry

The man in is an imam from the local mosque and explains that he has been faithful to his wife since they have been married. He is relieved when his results show he is HIV negative. Bouboucar encourages the man to ask his wife to be tested also to be completely sure they are both HIV negative. MSF launched a HIV testing campaign in Conakry with the support of health authorities moving throughout several neighbourhoods throughout 2016.
"We convinced the youth to come and be screened by talking about the importance of testing, they did not know about the different modes of transmission of HIV. After the campaign the majority of youth understand about how to avoid contracting HIV."
